Blaine Mengel Jr. is host of Backwoods Angler TV, a freshwater fishing program airing on NBC Sports Outdoors. The show premiered in July 2011 as the only freshwater fishing show on the NBC Sports Network focusing on the New England region.
With a mix of lake, stream and river angling, Backwoods Angler TV covers everything from walleye and trout to both large and smallmouth bass.
Come and learn Blaine’s tips and tricks for bass fishing success.
Burnie Haney is an pro angler out of Calcium, New York.
This B.A.S.S. Life member has been in many regional tournaments.
With 13 tournament wins and 35 Top five finishes, Burnie knows how and where to fish to catch the trophy winners.

Don Meissner comes to the Springfield Sportsmen’s Show.
Over the many years Don hosted this PBS television program, he traveled all over the United States and Canada. Viewed by millions, his program was loved by outdoor enthusiasts throughout the country.
Come down to the show and learn from this well known fishing pro.
Erik Kaplan is a local Bass Pro who has dedicated his time to building a reputation for being extremely knowledgeable of New England waters and being a person that folks can rely on for expert advice.
Erik will be sharing his fishing expertise on the Bass Blast Stage.

Meet Jimmy Kennedy. A professional bass fisherman since his teens, Jimmy competes on the B.A.S.S. and FLW circuits. He has been a featured guest on “Charlie Moore Outdoors,” and been featured in national outdoor publications.
Jimmy does not spend all his time on the water though, he is also a self-taught professional cook and owned the River Run Restaurant in Plainfield, Vermont.
Jimmy has done it all and he enjoys giving back to the community he loves. In his latest project, Jimmy is developing a TV series for fishing and cooking with kids. Stop by the Cabot Cheese booth and visit with Jimmy Kennedy, he has many stories to tell.
See Nate Laskiewicz on the Bass Blast Stage. Nate is the host of the national TV show, “Lakes Region Fishing.”
Over the past 25 years, Nate has garnered many first place wins and top ten finishes, including two time NYS Bass Federation “Angler of the Year” and two top 10 national finishes.

If you like catching big Bass, seek out PJ Burns in the Young Building. You can find him on the Bass Blast Stage. Thanks to FISHCAP, PJ will be at the show sharing his fishing expertise. PJ knows how to catch record fish and he has the top place finishes to prove it.

Come meet Skip Bryant. President of the North East Bass Anglers, Skip is committed to spreading the word about the benefits of educating our children about the joys of fishing.
Skip is very active with the D.A.R.E. program as well as many other community events.
You will see Skip overseeing the “Reel Kids” event, as well as conducting fishing seminars on the Bass Blast Stage.
