Billy "Hawkeye" Decoteau is an outdoor journalist and motorcycle columnist with a strong passion for
pursuing the Black Bass as well as cruising on his Harley Davidson Springer Classic Motorcycle with his bride of thirty-eight years.....Trish.
You will find Billy "Hawkeye" Decoteau all around the Springfield Sportsmen's Show. Each year he
actively engages the public and vendors alike. As you can see in his 2009 Video of the show, Billy really loves his job.
Hawkeye's activities include working with our American Veterans, both Active Forces and Disabled
Veterans! Hawkeye can also be found coordinating and emceeing 3-Man Bass Tournaments in partnership with the FLW Outdoors. Joining America's Active Military Forces as they team up with
Disable Veterans and FLW Pro Series Anglers! While the 3-man teams are competing on the water,
Hawkeye just might be found cruising on his Harley Springer the surrounding countryside with a large group of motorcyclist participating in a benefit ride in support of Our Troops.
The partners compete as a team and the teams with the largest weight for their limit take first place.
Points are accumulated determined on ones placement at each event and anglers can compete in as many events as possible. Lunker prizes are also awarded for the largest bass taken at each
tournament.
Billy Decoteau also coordinates classroom seminars for Professional Bass Anglers Mike 'Ike'
Iaconelli and Pete Gluszek's The Bass University weekend seminar programs (www.TheBassUniversity.com) and enjoys sharing winning techniques utilized by some of the nationals' top
-bass pro's, as 'Hawkeye' host the 'Bass Cast' Radio show on www.BassEast.com.
