A freshwater fishing show by David Pickering
During, "The Secrets of Carp Fishing," David Pickering will offers anglers a rare look at one of the most underutilized, yet one
of the most exciting trophy fisheries in all of New England.
This show should dazzle freshwater fishermen with many views of huge carp in the 15-25 lb. range that the speaker and
others have caught.
The show will spell out all the secret European techniques, equipment and bait needed to catch these monsters of
freshwater.
Many of these techniques have been modified to fit New England waters. Such topics as rigging, tying and baiting hair rigs,
rod pods and bite alarms, bottom rigs, weigh slings and nets will be covered. Simple techniques for beginners using
traditional equipment will also be discussed. Rivers, ponds and canals will be fished from the carp lakes in RI to the Merrimack River in MA.
The bait section will deal with such unique baits as particle baits, corn, boilies, dough baits and berry baits. The show will
also provide viewers with websites and online stores that provide additional information for carp enthusiasts. It will also
feature scenes from several recent "Fish-ins" sponsored by the Carp Anglers Group, a national organization of carp
fishermen. The show will spell out all the secrets needed to consistently catch large carp in both the daytime and at night in the waters of southern New England.
